About me
I am a Registered Counselling Therapist – Candidate (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists, and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I completed my diploma in Social Services at Nova Scotia Community College and my BA Honours in Family Studies and Sociology at Mount Saint Vincent University. I most recently earned my MA in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. I have worked in a variety of community-based settings, offering systems navigation, emotional support, and advocacy services to folks experiencing multiple forms of oppression.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, but it's a positive step toward prioritizing your overall well-being. You may feel stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, overwhelmed by emotions, disconnected in relationships, or exhausted from trying to hold it all together. With warmth and care, we can work together to begin making sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. I offer a safe and supportive space to slow down and explore your conscious and unconscious thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that are affecting you.
Every individual is unique; therefore, your therapy should be tailored to your specific needs. I integrate evidence-based treatment models that align with your goals and outcomes. I am comfortable working with adults (18+) who have experienced or are currently experiencing: physical, mental, and emotional abuse, trauma, lost meaning in their lives, difficulty forming or maintaining healthy personal relationships, addictions, burnout, fear, self-criticism, life transitions, grief, ADHD, anxiety and depression.
I believe that establishing a positive therapeutic relationship is the key to achieving your therapy goals. I offer in-person and virtual appointments on weekdays and evenings. I look forward to walking alongside you in your healing journey. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please don't hesitate to reach out.
